Variant does not reference an automation object

hello,
program using excel automation object is now reporting following error on a
PC where the program used to work ok.
"Variant does not reference an automation object"
what could be the cause? any idea?

Hi Sudesh,
That may be caused by
No or mismatch version installation of Excel or influence of other
application.

if the system environment are same and the problem is still there,
please show some actually code.
